WHEN A MAN REFUSES TO DIE
Mark 10:32-34 NIV
Verse 32
When Jesus is leading you, you will arrive at your destination safely.
There was another group, not disciples but followers who were afraid.
Verse 34 They will..
1. Mock Him
2. Spit on Him
3. Flog Him
4. Then Kill Him
COVID 19 symptoms - coughing, short breath, high temperatures. When you experience them then it suggests that something is wrong. Death also has symptoms. When you are sick and your body is not responding to treatment, you know that you are going to die. But there are other symptoms of death
Signs of death
1. You will be
visited with the spirit of fear. This was the 4th time Jesus was talking about His death to the disciples, but the others were afraid. Jesus then called the twelve who were amazed and not afraid to tell them that his time was up. Jesus does not do business with those who fear, if he tells them that He was going to die, they might die before getting to their destination.
*Fear is not generated by the presence of the storm. You are not afraid because of the virus, but because of the lack of the sense of who is with you. Jesus was asleep in the midst of the storm. When you are afraid, then the devil is in control. They asked Jesus why He was not afraid, and He told them, they are afraid because they do not know who is with them. Jesus called peace from the storm. *We call healing from the virus.
What you do not know is that, there is life in the death that is threatening you.
- Scientist says fear can lower your immune sysystem
- Fear can stop you from reaching your destination. They started the journey with Jesus, but because they were afraid He set them aside and He went with the disciples.
Gideon was going to fight and asked that those who are afraid must return, 22,000 returned, only 300 went him.
2. When death sentence is passed over you. When you are being threatened by death. Jesus was given to the High priest who passed a death sentence over Him and eventually He was killed. But Jesus had the power to resurrect, but you do not have that power. So you must reverse that sentence and return it back to sender. *Anybody who does not like you, wants your position, wants your spouse etc, it is a death sentence, they wish you are dead.
When fear comes upon you, you lose your composure, you become a toy to the devil.
Every death sentence is a voice. They speak it.
Communion is in my wardrobe
- Legal people (principalities, high priest, judges, powers etc) passed death sentences on you. *But their licenses to do so will end in their homes.
- They now take you to the executors.
- The third group you are taken to are those who will mock you. Judgement has been passed for Him to be killed, why then the mockery?
Resurrection does not take place in the grave. You resurrect before you die - at the time Jesus was talking about His resurrection, He had not died. Confess positive now.
Psalm 6:4-5 MSG
The sickness and confusion in your life is a fight. Somebody must break that fight. Lord get Ghana, the world out of this fight.
There is a reason why you must live and not die. You have various assignments to complete.
